DURHAM – The 2024 ACC Tournament Champions, Duke baseball, was selected as the No. 2 seed in the Norman, Okla, regional Monday, the selection committee announced. The selection marks the 11th NCAA tournament appearance for the Blue Devils, and the second consecutive appearance.

Regionals will run May 31 through June 3 at L. Dale Mitchell Park in Norman, Okla.

Duke (39-18) is slated to open the regional against No. 3 seed UConn (32-23), while host Oklahoma (37-19) earned the top seed and will open play against Oral Roberts (27-30-1). Duke baseball will not host Durham Regional after ACC Tournament title

The winner of the double-elimination NCAA Regional will advance to a best-of-three NCAA Super Regional, which will run from June 6-8 or 7-9. The Norman Regional winner will face the winner of the Tallahassee Reigonal, which features Florida State, Alabama, UCF and Stetson. The College World Series will be played in Omaha, Neb., from June 14-24.

Head coach Chris Pollard leads the Blue Devils to a regional for a program record sixth time in 12 seasons (2016, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2024), winning the automatic qualifier and ACC Tournament Championship in 2021 and 2024. Prior to arriving at Duke, the Blue Devils had compiled just five NCAA Tournaments (1952, 1953, 1956, 1957 and 1961).

“I’ll do what I can, sir.” That’s all Wolfgang Van Halen said when he was asked to honor Ozzy Osbourne at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Polite. Humble. Understated. But what came next? Pure chaos—in the best way possible. The second Chad Smith, Robert Trujillo, and Andrew Watt hit their first notes, the air changed. Then Ozzy stormed in, ripping through “Crazy Train” like it was 1981 all over again—wild, loud, and alive. But just when the crowd thought they’d seen it all, Maynard James Keenan and Wolfgang came charging in, guitars blazing, lighting the place on fire. The energy was insane. And it didn’t stop there. Zakk Wylde and Jelly Roll followed up with a haunting, soul-crushing version of “Mama, I’m Coming Home” that had people wiping their eyes. And just when you thought your heart couldn’t take more, Billy Idol exploded onto the stage with “No More Tears,” shaking the walls and blowing the roof straight off. This wasn’t just a tribute. It was a thunderstorm of sound, sweat, and raw emotion—a night no one there will ever forget

BREAKING NEWS:  Rob Halford and His Husband Fire Back at Haters with One Unapologetic Message — ‘We’re Not Asking for Permission to Exist ’… “There’s always been noise. Even when I came out in 1998, people said, ‘You’ll lose your fans, your legacy, your power.’ And guess what?” Rob said, pausing for effect. “I’m still here. Still loud. Still metal. Still gay.
