The Blues got life under Enzo Maresca underway in midweek but were held to a 2-2 draw by League One side Wrexham.
Maresca’s side won’t be too concerned with results at this stage of their campaign though, as building fitness in the squad will be the priority.
However, a win in their second friendly against Celtic would be welcome to disprove some early concerns from fans.
The Scottish giants will provide a tough test for Chelsea as they come into this game off the back of an impressive 4-3 win over Premier League champions Manchester City.
Chelsea vs Celtic: Date and how to follow
This pre-season friendly will take place on Saturday, July 27.
It will be held at the Notre Dame Stadium in Indiana, USA with kick-off scheduled for 9pm UK time.
Fans are able to watch the action live on two platforms in the UK.
The game will be broadcast live on Chelsea’s official website and on Celtic TV.
talkSPORT and talkSPORT.com will also keep you up to date with the latest.
Chelsea vs Celtic: Football the Enzo-way
Leicester fans were treated to playing football the Enzo-way last season and they regularly sang a chant about it at the King Power Stadium.
However, that didn’t stop some fans criticising the pace of play in possession and it led to Maresca having to defend his ideas.
Some Chelsea supporters have noticed the supposed lack of urgency when building up play after their first friendly against Wrexham.
One fan wrote on X: “Too many passes, get the ball forward quicker!!”
Another said: “Just a few minutes of Maresca ball and I can already say I’m going to go through torture watching possession nonsense.”
Of course, it is far too early to judge the new Blues boss and also, Maresca’s style was highly successful last campaign so fans are likely jumping the gun with their criticism.
Chelsea vs Celtic: Team news
Maresca got a good look at his squad against Wrexham as he fielded a different line-up in either half of the game.
Christopher Nkunku is finally looking fit and scored in Chelsea’s opening friendly of pre-season while Carney Chukwuemeka performed well and will be hoping to breakthrough this year.
New signing Marc Guiu provided an assist on debut and he could start again.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was sidelined with a slight knock so missed out, but he may return for this game against his former manager at Leicester.
As for Celtic, they were very impressive against Man City but they could rotate.
After scoring off the bench last time out, Luis Palma will want to start while Nicolas Gerrit-Kuhn netted a brace and is likely to keep his place.
Matt O’Riley is attracting interest from the Premier League and could see this as a great chance to audition for a big move this summer.

Chelsea vs Celtic: What has been said?
Chelsea boss Maresca has admitted that his team will concede goals by playing in his style.
“The first goal was not from playing out of the back,” he said after letting in two goals against League One opposition.
“The second goal was, yes, but the first goal was one bouncing ball, we lost the duel and we conceded the first goal.
“For sure we are going to concede goals during the season trying to build from the back.
“Hopefully we are not going to concede too many but it is one of the risks that you have trying to build from the back.
“Absolutely [it is important to keep being brave playing out from the back]. I think you are going to concede goals in different ways so you just need to decide in which way you will concede goals.
“Teams who build from behind, sometimes they concede but overall I think you are going to score more goals than the ones you concede.”
