Cole Davies Returns to Riding Following SLC SX Crash: “Man, I’ve missed this. It’s been a tough few months”

Cole Davies is back where he feels most at home — on his bike. The promising young motocross rider has officially returned to riding after months on the sidelines recovering from the injuries he sustained during the Salt Lake City Supercross (SLC SX) crash earlier this year.

The crash, which happened in one of the final rounds of the Supercross season, left Davies nursing significant injuries and forced him to step away from racing just when his momentum was building. For a rider who lives and breathes the sport, the downtime was as mentally challenging as it was physically painful.

Sharing the news of his return on social media, Davies posted a photo of himself geared up and back on the bike, captioned simply: “Man, I’ve missed this. It’s been a tough few months.” The post drew an outpouring of support from fans, fellow riders, and teams who have been rooting for the young talent’s recovery every step of the way.

Davies’ injury was a stark reminder of the risks that come with the sport. Supercross is physically demanding and unforgiving, and even the most skilled riders are never immune to the sport’s dangers. For Davies, the crash in Salt Lake City was a gut punch at a critical point in his career — but his resilience and dedication have once again shone through.

In the weeks following the crash, Davies focused on rehabilitation and staying connected with his team. He worked closely with physiotherapists to regain strength and mobility, often sharing glimpses of his recovery journey with his fans. While the temptation to rush back onto the bike was strong, Davies and his team knew patience was key to ensure he returned at full strength and ready to compete safely.

Now, his return to riding doesn’t just mark a physical comeback — it’s a huge psychological boost as well. Riders like Davies draw their confidence from time on the bike. Getting back in the saddle means reconnecting with the rhythm, speed, and technique that only countless hours of riding can sharpen.

As he eases back into training, Davies remains focused on taking it step by step. His immediate goal is to rebuild his race fitness and confidence while avoiding any unnecessary risks. He’s expected to make a full return to competition later this season, and fans will be eager to see if he can pick up where he left off.

The motocross community is known for its tight-knit nature, and Davies’ comeback story is another testament to the support riders give one another through the sport’s highs and lows. His return is not only a personal victory but also an inspiration for young riders facing similar setbacks.

“Being away from racing has been the hardest part,” Davies said in a recent interview. “But this whole experience has reminded me just how much I love what I do. I’m grateful for everyone who stood by me — now it’s time to get back to work.”

With his determination, passion, and the backing of his team and fans, Cole Davies is ready to chase the finish line once again — proving that sometimes the biggest wins happen off the track, in the quiet moments when a rider decides to get back on the b

ike and ride again.
