The Miami football program continued adding to the offensive line in its 2025 class with the addition of four-star prospect Max Buchanan on Wednesday. Buchanan is the fourth 2025 offensive lineman to commit to Miami and the third in June. Miami moves up to the 25th 2025 class nationally with the addition of Buchanan.
Before Buchanan committed to Miami on Thursday, the Hurricanes received commitments from Demetrius Campbell and Jaden Wilkerson in June and Takaylen Muex in May. Campbell and Wilkerson are tackles and Buchanan and Muex play on the interior of the OL.
Buchanan chose Miami after taking official visits with Mississippi, Central Florida, Clemson, Florida State, the Hurricanes and Penn State. Buchanan from Sanford Seminole, Campbell from Orlando Christian Prep, Wilkerson from Orlando Edgewater and Muex from Neptune Beach, Fletcher are all from Florida.
Buchanan is the 238th prospect,13th IOL and 36th player in Florida in the 2025 class. Buchanan is the ninth -anked commit and top OL in the 2025 Miami class. Offensive line coach Alex Mirabal led the recruitment of Buchanan. Buchanan told Canes County it was an entire staff effort in his recruitment.

Buchanan also told Rivals he likes the business opportunities he can take advantage of in Miami. Rivals quoted Buchanan as saying he felt like he was the priority of the Miami staff and how he built a relationship with them.
Miami is laying the foundation for its future OL with the additions to the 2025 class. The Hurricanes lose center Zach Carpenter and guard Anez Cooper and tackle Jalen Rivers are eligible for the 2025 NFL Draft. Under Mario Cristobal and Mirabal, the Miami OL has become a priority and one of the best in the ACC, if not nationally.
