New York Giants rookie Malik Nabers has ripped the team’s new throwback uniform, suggesting he wouldn’t want to be caught dead wearing it.
The former LSU wide receiver arrived in NY as the No. 6 overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft. But he doesn’t seem happy to be there.
He looked angry after touching down at the team’s facility last month and avoided speaking about Daniel Jones during his introductory press conference. The last thing the team would have wanted was to hear him diss their threads, but he had no qualms about doing so.
Still, they can’t blame him. They’re pretty awful.
Asked about the G-Men’s recently unveiled “Century Red” throwback unis, Nabers said it would be hard to look good in them.
“It’s gonna be hard to swag it out, that’s all I got to say about it,” the wideout told Sports Illustrated at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere.

The New York Giants Will Wear Their “Century Red” Uniforms For Two Games In 2024
The Giants launched the uniforms to commemorate their 100th season. As the name suggests, they are red, but they also feature a blue midsection with white borders and numbers. The pants are tan, with red socks bearing blue and white stripes completing the look.
Every Giants jersey will have a patch with the words “100 seasons” on the front. From 2004 to 2007, the team wore a red jersey once a year.
Fortunately for Nabers, he won’t have to wear these new ones more than twice next season.
Asked how he can make it look good, he replied, “I don’t know. I’ma have to see when I put it on.”
Following the draft, the wideout signed a four-year deal worth $29.2 million, including an $18.1 million signing bonus.
“When I put my name on that paper I was kind of shaking a little bit and I got emotional,” he said during the team’s rookie minicamp. “The job’s not done but another stage in my life was done. For me to make it to this part of my life and my journey, it was a pat on my back in that moment.”
